What happens if I lose a book, dvd, or media equipment?

Answer

If an item is marked Lost you are responsible for any replacement costs associated with item.

Books: If the book is in print, the replacement cost will be the full hardback price plus a $10.00 processing fee. If the book is out of print, the cost will be $50.00 plus a $10.00 processing fee.

Reserve Materials: The cost of reserve materials will be figured as above.

Periodicals: The cost of lost periodicals will be the price of the microform necessary to fill in the incomplete volume and a $10.00 processing fee. For single issues, the cost will be the purchase replacement issue and a $ 10.00 processing fee.

Videos and DVDs: The cost of lost videos and DVDs will be the price necessary to replace them plus a $10.00 processing fee.  If no longer available, the replacement cost for all videos and DVDs will be their original price plus a $10.00 processing fee.

CDs: The cost of lost CDs will be the price necessary to replace them plus a $10.00 processing fee.  If no longer available, the replacement cost for CDs will be their original price plus a $10.00 processing fee.

Media Equipment and other Miscellaneous Items: If any piece of equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged while checked out, the user will be responsible for the replacement or cost of repairs of the equipment.
