Are there textbooks available to use in the library right now?

Hello,

There are two parts to this question.  The first part is that when the University is in the first week of the semester, and if your professor tells you that his/her book is on reserve, the textbook is probably in the process of being placed on reserve.

To check to see if a book is on the Reserves shelf, go to the Library Catalog and search under Course Reserves.  If you don't find the book, it may be in process.  If you do, go to the Circulation Desk to borrow the book.

To check to see if the library has a book (and if your professor hasn't said the book is on Reserve or being placed on reserve), check the Library Catalog in the Finding Books box and search for the title, or the author's name (we recommend both searches to be sure).
