Q. What is the difference between Reserves and Electronic Reserves?

In library reserves and electronic library reserves

LHU faculty place physical copies of required readings (library books, practice tests, personal copies, textbooks, and photocopies) on Reserve for student use. Because this material is in high demand, circulation is restricted. Loan periods are set by your professor and Reserve material may be checked out for the following periods: 2 hr In-Library Use only, Overnight, 3 Day, and 7 Day. A valid LHU ID card is required. These items are listed in the online catalog Course Reserve Search.

LHU Libraries' online electronic reserve system is accessed through the online catalog . You can find scanned articles, practice tests, Powerpoints and other electronically generated course materials. These materials are only available to students, faculty, and staff of Lock Haven University. You must login to this system with a valid LHU username and password. You access these items through the online catalog Course Reserve Search (note they are marked as "electronic reserves").

Physical reserve services are located behind the Circulation Desks of both the Stevenson and Clearfield Campus Libraries.
